Movement: A New Kind of Community

There are few things in life more painful than being truly alone.  We are created to live in community. Life is better when we have others to support us in the hard times and to celebrate with us when life is good.

This weekend at Crossroads Church in Cranberry we are finishing our series, Movement, by looking at a new kind of community.  On Sunday, we will be studying Acts 2:42-47 and how the church was created to be a real, deep, and whole community for everyone; the movement we are apart of today.

Join us Sunday as we finish this series together and grow into the community that God has created us to be.

Movement: How to Wait for God

When it comes to life, there is one thing that I do not like to do and that is… wait.  For most of my daily tasks, I value speed and efficiency.  When there is traffic on the freeway and it slows me down, I grow impatient.  When checking out at the grocery store I look for the shortest line so I can get out and get on with the rest of my day.  The problem is that there are times in life when it is good for us to wait.

This weekend at Crossroads Church in Cranberry we are continuing our series entitled, Movement: by looking at how we at times must wait on God.  In Acts, Chapter 1, the apostles were instructed to wait on the Holy Spirit before they move forward.  In this passage we will learn how to wait on God in our own lives.  Take some time to read and meditate on Psalms 130 this week and join us Sunday at 10:30am as we continue to be part of God’s Movement.

Movement: Chain Reaction

A couple of weeks ago, I took some time to watch the new movie: Mission Impossible. Right from the beginning, I knew that I was going to enjoy this film.  It was an incredible story filled with action, explosions, victory, defeat and most importantly, adventure.

This week we are starting a new series at Crossroads Church entitled: Movement. We will look at the greatest adventure in the book of Acts.  Sunday we will examine the spiritual chain reaction that started over 2000 years ago that we are a part of today.  We will see how God wants to fill us with His presence, grow us as we share Him, and equip us for our part in His Movement, the Church.

Take some time this week to read through Acts 1 and join us Sunday at 10:30 as we gather together!

Audio: A Light in the Darkness

“A Light in the Darkness” is a weekend message I preached at Crossroads Church in Cranberry, a growing church in the north hills of Pittsburgh, PA. In this message we look at the birth of Jesus Christ and how He has brought light to each of our lives.
